Located on the western edge of the Pinellas peninsula, Seminole is between Largo and St. Pete Beach nestled among some of Florida’s best beaches. This gulf coast city offers more than just beautiful beaches and a friendly atmosphere, it’s also close to two airports and to enjoy all of the entertainment, museums and professional sports teams in St. Petersburg and Tampa are just short drive.

There are many single family home neighborhoods in Seminole, as well as luxury estates and condominiums. There are also many townhomes and apartment complexes with a variety of architecture styles reflecting both Seminole’s proximity to gulf beaches and its suburban, small town feel. Things To Do
The most prominent attraction of Seminole is its neighboring beaches that provide plenty of public access entrances. Beaches in this area include Madiera, Redington and Indian Rocks and the larger and more busy beaches of Clearwater to the north and St. Pete Beach to the South. Other outdoor activities and attractions include Lake Seminole Park which features 259 acres features picnicking facilities, playgrounds and a 2-mile-long recreation trail, and Walsingham Park, just to the north, which features picnic areas, a 6 mile multi-use trail, a 10-station fitness area, a lake with fishing piers and dog park. Golf courses include the public Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club, Seminole Lake Country Club and Baypoint Golf Club and the private Tides Golf Club and nearby Bayou Golf Club.
Indoor activities and entertainment include the Panama Canal Museum, Gulf Coast Museum of Art, Seminole 8 movie theater and the nearby Largo Cultural Center which hosts a variety of plays, theater and musical acts.
Dining and Shopping
John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk on Madiera Beach features unique shops and restaurants right on the beach. There are two nearby shopping malls; the Tyrone Square Mall in St. Petersburg and the ountryside Mall in Clearwater.
Seminole has many great restaurants including Spoto’s Grill 131, Boulevard Bistro, Greek Village Restaurant, Jimmy’s Sushi Restaurant, Madfish and many more. Restaurants in St Pete Beach include Woody's Waterfront Cafe, Blue Parrot Bar and Grille Madeleina Cottage Restaurant, PJ’s oyster Bar, Oscar’s on 75th, Salt Rock Grille, Frency’s Seafood and more.
Traffic and Driving
Seminole is in close proximity to two international airports. I-275 and the bay bridges to Tampa are easily accessible from Seminole by traveling west on Park Boulevard or Ulmerton Road.
Schools
Bauder Elementary, Orange Grove Elementary, Seminole Middle School, Seminole High School, Osceola High School and the Seminole Vocational Education Center. Private schools include Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, Bay Pines Lutheran School and Lighthouse Christian School. Commerce is mostly generated from hospitality, tourism commercial and residential development and health care. Seminole’s principal employers include St. Petersburg College, Home Depot, Freedom Square, Publix, Tandem Health Care and SunCoast Chrysler Jeep.
