Riverview is an up and coming neighborhood just south of Brandon and only 25 minutes from USF. This location is convenient to major highways and interstates and is less than 30 minutes from Tampa. There are many options when it comes to outdoor activities as well as shopping and dining.

Riverview has many housing options in a wide range of prices. There are many new family-friendly housing communities as well as fairly new apartment complexes, condos, corporate housing and townhomes. Many housing communities and apartment complexes are within walking distance of shopping and dining. There are also more rural communities, several of which are along the Alafia River.

Living in Riverview allows you to be close to many outdoor activities and attractions but also not too far from the fantastic museums and cultural centers Tampa has to offer. Outdoor attractions include Alafia River State Park,which features hiking, biking and equestrian trails, camping, and access tot he Alafia River, Boyette Scrub and several other parks that feature fishing piers and boat launches into the Alafia River, which leads out to Tampa Bay.
Golf courses include the private Summerfield Crossing Golf Course and the Bloomingdale Golfer’s Club and the private Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club and the Riverhills Country Club.
Indoor entertainment includesFor indoor fun the Brandon Regency 20 Movie Theater that features an IMAX theater and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino nearby in the east edges of Tampa.
Dining and Shopping
Riverview is close to the best shopping in east Hillsborough County at the Westfield Brandon Mall. Also nearby are a Sam’s Club and Costco, Kohl’s, Beall’s and Steinmart. Just 20 minute drive east is Tampa’s new IKEA. Restaurants in Riverview include Buffalo Wild Wings, Westshore Pizza, Green Iguana, The Silver Ring Cafe and more. Cheesecake Factory, Grillsmith and Sinigual are available just 10 minutes away at the Westfield Brandon Mall.
Traffic and Driving
Riverview offers easy access to Highway -301 which will take you to several exits to I-75 which runs north through Brandonon and into the USF area and south down to Sarasota/Bradenton. Taking 301 east or I-75 north will take you to and exit to I-4 which runs east into central Florida.
Schools
Public schools include Boyette Springs Elementary, Riverview Elementary, Symmes Elementary, Collins Elementary, Summerfield Elementary, Giunta Middle, Rodgers Middle, Business, Spoto High and Riverview High. Colleges in the area include Nova Southeastern, Florida Career College, Emmaus Baptist College and Hillsborough Community College-Brandon.
Business
Much of Riverview’s commerce is generated by banking, retail and hospitality as well as commercial and residential construction and development as the community continues to grow and expand. Two of the major employers in this area are Progressive Insurance and Mosaic.
